For "GAMER: The Podcasting" listeners:

Quick tips for making safe Axe heads
using silicone mold rubber and expanding foam.

The bulk of the vital ingredients come from
a company called "Smooth-On", but I swear
I don't work for them. They just have the coolest
stuff for this. ( check out their site: smooth-on )

The sad part is, it ain't cheap.
But the results are always terrific if you take your
time and do it safely and correctly.

The following pictorial / tutorial shows you everything
I did to replace a deadly wood chopping axe with
a harmless foam replica.
I even show you my mistakes. >_<

'Hope this inspires you to make Foam Double-headed
Battle axes and stuff !
With a single mold, you can make Hundreds!
Weeeeeee !

If you're interested in using other types of expansion foam or making
a mold that can be used to pour in more "liquid" type casting goop,
You're going to find Smooth-On and other companies talking about
the flexibility and hardness of their materials using the "Shore Hardness" scale.
Check out THIS PICTURE to get an idea of what their numbers mean.
